As the city emerges from a rather long enforced hibernation, event listings are popping up again. It’s 20 years since the Trieste Science Fiction Festival (run by media collective La Cappella Underground) first opened its doors with a range of Sci Fi films, and this year it will be held from 29th October to 3rd November, plague permitting.

For anyone with a Sci Fi film ready to go, the call for submissions is now open!

Check out this website for news on the events program, which is normally published in the early autumn. Past highlights include interviews with Sci Fi writers and directors such as Terry Gilliam and Neil Gaiman, and Monster Pride, a parade of monsters (well, citizens dressed as monsters) running down the streets of Trieste!
