All playgrounds are to remain closed in the city of Trieste as per government’s guidelines. 

Trieste’s mayor, Roberto Dipiazza, in his interview with Il Piccolo addressed all parents living in the city of Trieste.

“Dear parents, you have every right to be upset about the closure of playgrounds and parks in Trieste. I am very upset, too. This is the unfortunate consequence of the latest governmental decree that is forcing all mayors across Italy to close down playgrounds.” 

The decree the mayor is referring to states that every item on playgrounds is to be sanitized after every kid’s use.

The mayor added, 

“I am working on finding ways that would enable our kids to have fun in play areas.”

Meanwhile, Trieste’s parents have started a petition that urges the lifting of the ban.
