The new regional decree is out today which abolishes the need to wear masks outside.

Massimiliano Fedriga signed a new decree late last night that gives ever more freedom to FVG public. According to the new ordinance signed on June 3d 2020 by Fedriga, the use of face mask or covering the nose and mouth in the open air is no longer necessary when one meter distance can be kept.

Masks remain mandatory in closed spaces such as supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

The new decree, which will expire on June 30, gives a go-ahead to all commercial activities that were stopped or paused, as long as the safety measures can be kept. Among them:

  • day care centers
  • mountain huts
  • car rentals
  • sagre and fairs
  • playgrounds (depends on comune)
  • cinemas
  • theaters
  • thermal centers
  • mountain guides can restart
  • music courses
  • Friends (and no longer only family members) are allowed to travel in the same car as long as they keep their masks on

Frequently asked questions will be soon published on our region’s website.
