Legendary Giro D’Italia bikes through FVG

After the glorious start in Rivolto with breathtaking Frecce Tricolori in the background, Giro d’Italia makes the 16th stop in Udine. 

The Giro d’Italia race started at 10:25 am on 20 October and many an Udinese were there to witness the grand event.

FVG’s president Massimiliano Federiga came to salute the athletes in the center of Udine.

Udine is a city in the centre of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, between the Adriatic Sea and the Alps (Alpi Carniche). In the 2019 rankings for the Italian cities with the best quality of life, Udine was awarded ninth place. 

Just an hour away from Trieste, it is definitely a place to discover. 

The 16th stage of Giro d’Italia with goes from Udine to San Daniele del Friuli is about 228 km. This stage consists of 228 km between the Julian Prealps and the Tagliamento Valley.
