Health Minister Roberto Speranza signed a new ordinance on Friday night which moves Friuli Venezia Giulia into the orange zone. The new restrictions come into force on Sunday, November 15th.

The territories with significant COVID-19 risk have been designated as orange, which include FVG, Abruzzo, Basilicata, Liguria, Puglia, Sicily, Marche, Umbria, and Emilia-Romagna.

In addition to all of the measures applicable to yellow regions, the following measures also apply:

Movement into and out of the territory is prohibited unless for proven work needs, necessity, in-person education, or for health reasons.

Movement outside of an individual’s municipality is prohibited unless for proven work, in-person education, necessity, health reasons, or to carry out activities or use services that are not suspended and not available in that municipality.

Individuals may have non-cohabitants in their car so long as the driver is the only person in the front part of the car and there are no more than two passengers in each row of rear seats. Everyone in the car must wear a face covering.

Residents do not need to carry a self-certification form when traveling within their municipality during non-curfew hours.

Service at bars, pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlors, and pastry shops are suspended. Exception: home delivery can take place 24 hours a day.  Establishments can make take-away available from 05am  – 10 pm. Customers cannot eat at these locations.
