We interviewed Dario Viviani, Canadian by birth who moved to Trieste in his 20’s, about his Christmas album which is to hit the online stores on December 24.
Tell us a little about your project
Children’s Songbook Sing Along is a collection of over 40 children’s songs, popular folk melodies, spirituals and traditional melodies. We are a father and daughter duo.
Amazing! Is your daughter a professional singer?
Marija Sanja Viviani attends the Conservatory in Trieste and is enrolled in the singing program. She has a pure, crystal clear voice which is filled with joy.
What about yourself?
I am a Suzuki guitar teacher and the founder and owner of Suzuki Guitar Trieste. Each song is accompanied by the warm tone of a classical guitar and vocals.
How was the recording?
We had so much fun recording these songs. I think you can hear all the joy and enthusiasm we put into these songs when you listen to them.
Do you write your own lyrics & music?
The songs are a collection of popular and traditional songs, children’s songs spirituals and a handful of original songs I wrote for children. Actually, I wrote a few of these songs for my daughter when she was a little girl herself. Marija grew up listening to these songs and sang them together with me.
