Friuli Venezia Giulia will be downgraded from medium-risk orange zone to lower-risk yellow zone, with effect from Monday, 1 February.
Italian health minister Roberto Speranza announced the change on Friday, 29 January, which is based on regional levels of covid-19 risk, under Italy’s tiered system of restrictions.
Bars and restaurants can reopen their doors to customers until 6 pm, and there will be greater freedom to travel. As well as museums, which have been closed since 6 November, can reopen but only from Monday to Friday – not at weekends.
