University of Trieste has started vaccinations on Thursday, 18 February and is aiming to vaccinate most of its staff by the beginning of the second semester, reports ANSA.
University of Trieste is the first Italian university to vaccinate all of its staff, from professors to technical assistants, reports ANSA.
University’s staff received the first vaccinations at Cattinara hospital on Thursday, 18 February. University’s rector, Prof. Roberto Lenarda, who was present during the vaccinations said that “vaccinations are fundamental for our safety” adding that “this is an example for all to follow.”
The covid-19 vaccine is free and is not be obligatory in Italy, ANSA reports.
