The Italian approach to food is often underpinned by the phrase “zero kilometer”, which refers to the usage of local foods that have not traveled far after production.
This principle begins with Italian people’s dedication to local and regional specialties. Keeping this in mind, the local Farmer’s market in Altura neighborhood is opening its doors again this Saturday, from 7.45 am to 2 pm.

The goal for the organizers is to keep the farmer’s market open two Saturdays per month until the end of May.
“However, we are thinking of making the market a weekly thing since it the opening last Saturday was a big success.”
The organizers bring farmers into the heart of Altura neighborhood to sell vegetables, fruits, meats, and other local food products. Unlike the other neighborhood markets, farmers sell their own products directly and are committed to biodiversity.
