Red Zone Rules in Friuli Venezia Giulia
Movement
Travel between regions, regardless of color, is prohibited through 30 April 2021. Exceptions: work needs, situations of necessity, health reasons, and return home.
Face Coverings, Distancing, and Gatherings
The rules regarding face coverings, distancing, and gatherings remain the same.
Restaurants and Bars
Table service will remain prohibited.
Restaurants may offer delivery (24/7) and takeaway (until 10 pm).
Bars can offer delivery (24/7) and takeaway (until 6 pm).
Recreation, Culture, and Sports
Gyms and pools remain closed.
Museums remain closed.
Cinemas and theaters remain closed.
500 meter rule is still in effect in Trieste
You can walk only within 500 meters of your house. This does not apply to running or cycling, which can be done even outside of your town as long as you start from home (and not drive, for example).
Schools
In-person instruction can resume for infants, kindergartens, elementary schools, and sixth grade.
International Travel
Individuals who enter Italy after having been in the EU at any point during the previous 14 days* before entry must:
- Undergo a molecular or antigenic test no more than 48 hours before entering Italy;
- Regardless of the test’s results, immediately quarantine for 5 days after entering Italy (such as at one’s residence);
- Undergo another molecular or antigenic test at the end of the 5 day quarantine (i.e.: on day 6).
*Persons entering Italy must comply with these new rules if, in the two weeks leading up to the day they enter Italy, they were in EU country for any amount of time, even simply walking through an airport on a layover. So, for example, if a person enters Italy on 2 April, they will have to follow these rules if they were in EU country on or after 18 March (14 days prior).
RULES AND REMINDERS FOR THE RED REGION
Please note, you should continue to carry a self-certification form with you whenever you leave your residence. This means you will now need to be ready to justify your movement via self-declaration: 1) when traveling outside of your region, 2) when traveling outside of your municipality, and 3) when traveling outside your home (during curfew and non-curfew hours).
You can download the self-certification form here.
