Trieste will put forth a daring effort to break the world record for largest God’s eye, as found in the Guinness World Records, this Saturday, 17 April at Salone degli Incanti.

A God’s eye (Ojo de Dios) is an object made by weaving yarn around an “x” made with two wooden sticks. Ms. Francesca Salcioli, an art therapist at Academia di Belle Arti G.B. Tipeolo in Udine, will lead Trieste in the all day long quest, which will start at 8 am and finish at sunset.

No public is allowed as per latest COVID-19 restriction, however the event can be followed live on Comune’s Facebook page.

All donations and funds from the initiative will go to LILT Trieste (the Italian Cancer League).
