Health Minister Roberto Speranza signed a new ordinance which keeps Friuli Venezia Giulia in the orange zone on Friday, 16 April.
Friuli Venezia Giulia has been assigned to “orange zone” for at least a two week period where the following rules will apply.
What are the rules for orange zones?
Movement
Travel between regions, regardless of color, is prohibited through 30 April 2021. Exceptions: work needs, situations of necessity, health reasons, and return home.
Face Coverings, Distancing, and Gatherings
The rules regarding face coverings, distancing, and gatherings remain the same.
Restaurants and Bars
Table service will remain prohibited.
Restaurants may offer delivery (24/7) and takeaway (until 10 pm).
Bars can offer delivery (24/7) and takeaway (until 6 pm).
Recreation, Culture, and Sports
Gyms and pools remain closed.
Museums remain closed.
Cinemas and theaters remain closed.
Schools
In-person instruction can resume for infants, kindergartens, elementary schools, and sixth grade.
International Travel
On 2 April 2021, the Ministry of Health published a new ordinance updating the rules regarding travel from the EU, UK, and Israel. According to the ordinance, individuals who enter Italy from 30 March 2021 through 30 April 2021, after having been in the countries mentioned above at any point within the 14 days before the date of entry, must:
- Undergo a molecular or antigenic test no more than 48 hours before entering Italy; &
- Regardless of the test’s results, immediately quarantine for 5 days after entering Italy (such as at one’s residence); &
- Undergo another molecular or antigenic test at the end of the 5 day quarantine (i.e.: on day 6).
