Barcolana 2021’s poster has been revealed by the president of Società Velica Barcola Grignano, Mitja Gialuz. The manifesto’s designer commissioned by Illy coffee is Ron Arad.
The poster was created by artist Ron Arad, and is meant to represent the “hymn of the joy of sailing”. The manifesto “underlines the force of sailing”, said the artist “with the boat breaking the waves, and going against the wind”.
Mitja Gialuz said he hopes this year’s Barcolana will send the message of hope and Italy getting back on its feet.
Last year’s regatta was canceled due to strong winds.
Barcolana’s dates for 2021 are 3-10 October.
