Spencer, the highly anticipated biopic about Princess Diana, will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September, reports Variety.
Pablo Larraín’s drama, starring Kristen Stewart in the lead role, was written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and will be screened in the competition section of the veteran Italian festival.
The film is expected to be an Oscar contender when it comes out in 2022 on the 25th anniversary of Diana’s death.
