Verdi’s last concert of the season, Viva Verdi! highly acclaimed by the public and entirely dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi made for a perfect last hurrah before the summer break.
The 2-hour concert featured magnificent performances by Anna Pirozzi, Fabrizio Sartori and Ambrogio Maestri whom the public acclaimed with repeated “Bravo! Brava! Bravo!” and a standing ovation in the end.
The selection of Giuseppe Verdi’s tunes was impeccable with a stirring encore of La Traviata’s “Lebiamo ne’ lieti calici” in conclusion.
Verdi Theater will be back after a short break on 10 September with Bastiano e Bastiana which will kick off the fall season at the beloved theater, followed by the transcendent Madama Butterfly on 1 October.
