Trieste lives up to its city of science name once again with the Trieste Next festival taking over our town 24-26 September.
Following on from the success of the LINK festival, Trieste Next is a three-day science engagement event running from 24-26 September, which showcases the research and new technologies developing right here in Trieste. Trieste Next talks will include many famous local writers, scientists and researchers and will be open for public to follow.
The festival, which is supported by local universities, the region, and a range of local businesses such as Fincantieri, was founded in 2012 as a “window into innovation” where scientists and innovators present their ideas, methods, and experiences to the public.
This year’s festival is titled TAKE CARE. La scienza per il benessere sostenibile, presenting diverse talks and workshops.
Many of the events take place in Piazza Unità d’Italia, and all are free to the public (though closed talks do require registration due to Covid-19 regulations and Green Pass is mandatory for all events).
Check out the program for details on the various events, which will be held in Italian.
