The Friuli part of our Friuli Venezia Giualia region has come first in a list of the best Italian places for white wine according to The Guardian magazine.

The article states that Friuli “has bounced back from Covid, as a short food and wine break reveals” and goes on enlisting “must-see” places, such as Cormons, Collio Brda and Cividale del Friuli.

The Guardian has recently posted another article connected to our region, inserting Trieste in the most walkable cities in Europe. The article suggests to walk “up to Villa Opicina for a view over the Gulf of Trieste. If you have energy for more walking, continue along the wooded gravel path of the Strada Napoleonica towards Prosecco. It’s 5km if you go the whole way; you’ll see the Castello di Miramare, the summerhouse of Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian and his wife, Charlotte, at the foot of the cliff. You can come back along a different footpath.”

With Trieste and FVG being back in the spotlight, our region can expect influx of tourist come spring time (or winter, if they like bora that is).
