The ongoing pandemic has not stopped the region’s annual celebration of books and reading, which is happening this Friday, 29 October.

Literature Day, now in its 8th edition, is an annual event which celebrates the beauty of reading in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Promoted by our region, the initiatives aims to bring back focus to the importance of books in daily life. Readings will be held sporadically throughout the city this Friday, 29 October,  beginning with Museo Revoltella with a free event for kids 6-10 years of age.

The organizers said that it “critical to take the time to read on your own or with your children” and to celebrate the “importance of reading, foster children’s growth as readers and promote a lifelong love of literature and integration into the world of work.”
