Eataly Trieste celebrated five years with a birthday bash on Monday, 17 January offering its customers a slice of cake and a glass of prosecco followed by greetings from the team.

“Bora was blowing hard that January morning five years ago when we opened the doors of our store to the beautiful city of Trieste” remember the mastermind behind Eataly Trieste, Antonio De Paolo. “We took it as a good luck sign as we dedicated the store to winds and we were right. Look at how far we’ve come! I am the mastermind behind Eataly Trieste and I am proud to say that in the past five years this store has become the mecca for many Triestini and tourists. The essence of Eataly Trieste is made up of three winning components: eat, shop, and learn! And I know we’ll continue being here for many years to come, always bringing the beauty of high quality Italian produce to our customers.”
Eataly Trieste, a vibrant marketplace featuring an array of cafes overlooking the harbor, counters, restaurants, and a cooking school celebrates five years this January with various promotions for the customers to choose from.

On Monday, 17 January, the day Eataly Trieste opened its doors exactly five years ago, the store held a celebration, offering a slice of birthday cake and a glass of bubbly on the house to all customers of the store.
“We are celebrating five years of Eataly Trieste,” said Marco Gioacchini, the head store manager. “When we opened the store five years ago bora was blowing 120 km per hour and since this Eataly store is dedicated to winds, we thought it was great. We celebrated this anniversary with our clients today and we hope to see many of you here in the days to come!”
For half a decade, Eataly’s chefs have created delicious regional Italian dishes at different counters and restaurants, and, true to the “City of Winds,” Eataly hasn’t slowed down.
“Today is a very special day for us. I’ve been with Eataly Trieste since the very first day it opened its doors in 2017 and I am happy and proud to still be here today,” said head chef Claudio Palumbo. “Eataly Trieste continues to offer high quality food, connected to the territory, with best ingredients to choose from. I love this place and hope to be able to blow the candles on the next year’s cake.”
“I am responsible for graphics and communication of Trieste Eataly,” added Nerina Gaglioti. “And I was here even before the doors of the store were opened to public five years ago. I am really excited to celebrate this huge milestone for us. This is a big accomplishment because together as a team we were able to create something as wonderful as Eataly Trieste.”
