Throughout history, the figure of the woman in art has been made largely irrelevant, both through its objectification and silencing but also through the lack of a space in which it can be celebrated. The team of students from the United World College of the Adriatic aims to shift focus away from this through promoting female art from the region.

Collaborating with local artists, they are curating an exhibition that empowers women in art, with a goal not only to provide a space for women’s art, but also to raise awareness: in addition to the exhibition, there will be an educational focus, with presentations, discussions, and workshops.

The exhibition will be held this Friday (4th March) at Casa Internazionale delle Donne, from 6pm to 9pm.
