The summer festival – presented by the city’s Rossetti theater – takes place against the backdrop of Miramare Castle over several evenings until 28 August.
The Rossetti at Miramare will open with “Rossetti at Miramare…On a night like this” 16 July at 21.30.
“It will be a sight to see,” said Il Rossetti’s director, Francesco Granbassi.
“Shakespeare in the Park” will be back 19-31 July. Paolo Valerio’s Shakespeare in the Park is a moveable feast which takes the spectators on an emotional journey through the English troubadour’s masterpieces all the while enjoying the breathtaking beauty of Miramare Castle and its grounds.
The play takes the audience inside Castello Miramare with Richard III, on to the castle grounds with Merry Wives of Windsor, into the garden with Shakespeare’s sonnets, under the trees with Macbeth, on to contemporary reinterpretation of Othello‘s crime and back to the castle with Romeo & Juliette.
