Many things are inherently Trieste- capo in b, bora wind, rebechin, and ‘Clanfe Olympics’ is definitely one of them.
Clanfa, a Triestine dive in the water, and its success is judged by the amount of water sprayed, and how many people are left dripping. Of course, Trieste turned this into a national sport.

The registration for the ‘Clanfa Olympics’ taking place this Saturday, 30 July at Ausonia beach startin from 1 pm, will close tomorrow, 28 July.
The rules for the diving race are simple:
One clanfa per participant
It’s a 3 meter dive
The dive will need to be a clanfa, bomba or testabalòn (kamikaze).
Dress up, put your carnival costume on, crazy hair, make up – all of it will give you added points!
