There have been numerous sightings of dolphins off Trieste’s coast in recent days described as “exceptional” by Miramare Biosphere Reserve.
The dolphins spotted on Thursday and Friday afternoon in the Miramare Biosphere Reserve are believed to be Bottlenose dolphins.
Miramare Biosphere said it was “fundamental” that the public continue to report sightings to assist experts in their ongoing research, according to Italian news agency ANSA.
