1-Piazza Marconi: The beating heart of Muggia, with the Cathedral and the Town Hall. This is where many people stop for a coffee and drinks in the bars of the square, where residents and many tourists meet, especially in summer.

2-Muggia by sea: the most convenient way to get to Muggia from Trieste is via Delfino Verde, boat which runs every day, all year long. The trip is pleasant, it lasts half an hour and departures are continuous throughout the day: https://www.delfinoverde.it/servizi-di-linea/.
3-Visit the castle: a private residence, which dates back to 1374, and can be reached in a few minutes by taking the little streets from the center. To visit or stay there info@castellodimuggia.com
4-Visit the Beethoven’s museum: it is a real peculiarity of Muggia. A small museum, unique, inside the house of the Carrino family, which has at least 9 thousand objects cataloged. For information and visits lvb@bibliotecabeethoveniana.it

5- Church and archaeological park in “Old Muggia”: climbing up the hill you arrive at the basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, a perfectly preserved medieval building. Nearby there is a signposted itinerary, to explore the ancient ruins that have been discovered over time. The visit is free, and from here the view is extraordinary!
6-Museo Carà: art museum, a donation by Ugo Carà to the Municipality of the city. Events and exhibitions take place throughout the year. www.facebook.com/museocaramuggia/
7-Aquario: an area that has been restyled a few years ago includes free beach, a volleyball court, a skate park and beach bars open in summer during the day as well as in the evening. A perfect spot to savor a beautiful sunset!

8-Discover the small pathways: a walk through the streets of the historical center offers beautiful views and corners, colorful houses, flowered balconies, with many small details. Perfect for picture taking!
9-The trattorias in the center: for a break with a good glass of wine, a fish dish or simply an aperitif a few steps from the sea, the historical center is buzzing with small typical places, a must try!
10-Exhibition on Carnival: in Muggia the Carnival is the main event of the year. This summer, visit “La Vida Es Un Carneva” exhibit at Sala Negrisin in Piazza Marconi. Free entrance.
