Step Impianti – Clean Sport One won the highly competitive Maxi regatta on Thursday, 6 October, contending among a wider fleet of 15 maxi boats racing across several classes.

Clean Sport One’s strong performance was enough to be named the winner of the Maxi Trofeo Portopiccolo overall.

The first edition of the Maxi Trophy, which was presented in this year’s Barcolana 54, was a grand success letting the maxi boats practice the Barcolana course a few days before the actual race on 9 October.
It was the first time in Barcolana’s history that maxi boats raced concurrently in their own regatta alongside the Barcolana action.

Onboard One Clean Sport for her Maxi Trophy Regatta was many times Barcolana racer, skipper Jure Orel, together with his Italian – Slovenian team.

Orel ensured Clean Sport One’s performance delivered solid, consistent sailing which was enough to win the Maxi regatta containing dozens of past Barcolana’s winners among the competing crews, which included Arca sgr (the first to cross the finish line in real time).
