The Rocky Horror Show, a famous musical with music, lyrics and book by Richard O’Brien, will go on the Rossetti’s stage Tuesday 25 October to 30 October.
A humorous tribute to the science fiction and horror movies of the 1930s through to the early 1960s, the musical tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist, Dr Frank-N-Furter, unveiling his new creation, a sort of Frankenstein-style monster in the form of an artificially made, fully grown, physically perfect muscle Rocky, complete “with blond hair and a tan”.
The show is traditionally played with a shadow cast, when actors perform with the movie playing in the background, and is a fully staged musical to dance to.
The first show will be on Oct. 25 and run through Oct. 30. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.
