Trieste Science + Fiction Festival continues to brighten our screens (and days) with the many events on offer until Sunday night, one of which is tonight’s Italian premier of Neil Marshall’s ‘The Lair’ at the Rossetti theater at 8 pm.
On her final combat mission in Afghanistan, RAF pilot Kate Sinclair is shot down over a main rebel stronghold. Chased by insurgents she finds refuge in an abandoned bunker, where Russians once experimented crossing human organs with alien DNA to create a deadly biological weapon. Set free from their giant test tubes by the underground warfare, the Ravagers invade a local US army outpost where the ragtag squad must fight the mutant monsters to the bitter end. The Descent, Dog Soldiers, Doomsay director Neil Marshall calls his latest action-packed gore shocker “The Dirty Half Dozen meets The Thing”.
