Ryanair, Europe’s most famous low-cost airline, announced during Tuesday’s press conference, two new routes to Trieste’s ’23 schedule – operating Trieste to Barcelona (2 weekly flights) and to Dublin twice weekly – from March ‘23.
The opening of these new routes reinforces the airline’s commitment to Italy and the rebuilding of the country’s tourism industry, playing a key role in the recovery of local jobs and the economy.
Ryanair’s CEO, Eddie Wilson, who was present at the press conference at the Regione on Tuesday, said:
“We are pleased to add these two new routes to Barcelona and Dublin as part of Trieste’s ’23 schedule, offering our customers more amazing European destinations to choose from when planning their long-awaited holidays.
Having added over 560 new routes and opened 15 bases this year, Ryanair is now looking ahead to the addition of 65 new B737-8200 ‘Gamechanger’ aircraft to its fleet, which offer 4% more seats, 16% less fuel and a 40% reduction in noise emissions, making Ryanair’s 2023 schedule the most exciting and environmentally friendly to date.
“It’s an important step for Friuli Venezia-Giulia,” added president of FVG, Massimiliano Fedriga. “And we are proud of this collaboration.”
