The neighboring town of Muggia is in the process of lighting up its streets and trees, keeping in mind the inevitable energy saving this year brings.

Muggia decided to switch to LED lighting this year across town, with most festive being controlled by a timer. There will be fewer lights this year and their duration will be less than previous years.

The main tree in piazza Marconi will follow the same guidelines: LED lights controlled by a timer.

The cost of LED light bulbs has decreased dramatically since they entered the market and they save money because they last a long time and have very low energy use.
