“Notre Dame de Paris” returns to the Politeama Rossetti from 14 to 20 December, which for the whole of 2022 celebrates the 20-year history, in Italy, of the most popular modern opera on tour.

The presence of this colossal in Trieste is particularly significant, a city which, thanks to the Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia, hosted it among the first on tour, first at the Palazzetto dello Sport – in 2003 and 2004 – in collaboration with the Municipality of Trieste, then on the large and welcoming stage of the Politeama Rossetti, in 2016, in 2020 and now, again in 2022.

The show celebrates the important anniversary, for which the organizers have outdone themselves. They have reunited for the first time the most beloved cast of all time: that of 2002.

As if the romantic story of the impossible love between Quasimodo and Esmeralda taken from Victor Hugo wasn’t enough, if the splendid music by Riccardo Cocciante wasn’t enough, the lyrics that by now generations of spectators sing word for word together with the protagonists… here is the possibility of dream with the impeccable interpretations of favorites such as Giò Di Tonno, unsurpassed Quasimodo and Lola Ponce, the most seductive Esmeralda, Matteo Setti – the poet Gringoire par excellence – and Vittorio Matteucci who embodies the very bad Frollo with a powerful voice and strong expressiveness.

The reception of the public was extraordinary as always: to the first 7 performances announced and immediately very crowded, the Teatro Stabile Regionale, in accordance with the production, added two extraordinary performances on 19 and 20 December at 8.30 pm, to dream, sing, be moved and have fun with the splendid cast of “Notre dame de Paris”.
