Dedicated to women of Trieste, the exhibition called “Women Who Make A Difference” is opening today, 8 March at 5.30 pm at the Eppinger Caffe.
Curated by the English magazine InTrieste in collaboration with the Eppinger caffe and Le Vie Delle Foto, the exhibition celebrates women from various backgrounds.
All photographs are taken by the professional American photographer, Erin McKinney, who herself lives and works in the city.
The exhibition at the hip downtown Eppinger caffe will remain open until 31 March and can be visited starting from 8 March, 2023.
“We decided to make the opening on the 8th of March as a gift to all women in Trieste. Whether you’re a baker, a sailor, a seamstress or a student, you are special and are to be celebrated,” said the organizers magazine.

Sofi Deyneka, photographer and illustrator from Odessa, Ukraine

Caterina Stenta, world SUP champion, from Trieste
Monica Goti, film production specialist, from Trieste
Laura Samani, world acclaimed film director, from Trieste
Barbara Pernar, journalist, from Trieste
Maria Musil, radio DJ, from TriesteGiulia Basso, journalist, from Veneto
Lucija Milič, owner of agriturismo Milić, from Karst
The opening of the exhibition will take place on the 8th of March at 5.30 pm at the Eppinger caffe. Come grab a drink, meet the photographer and select the picture you like best.
The closing of the exhibition will coincide with the presentation of Intrieste’s spring issue on 31 March at 6.30 pm at the Eppinger caffe.
About the photographer
Erin McKinney is an American photographer and visual artist based in Trieste. She specializes in portraiture and family shoots, in and out of her photography studio, as well as special events and concerts. Upon finishing her artistic studies in Amsterdam in 2012, she began working on assignments all around the world with her documentary/street/travel photography.
“I love meeting new people and getting to hear their stories whether it’s someone I meet half way around the world or my own neighbor. This is what has really inspired me from the beginning of my curiosity with photography.”

All pictures will be available for purchase at the end of the exhibition on 31 March with proceeds going to local charities supporting women in need.
