The spring has has officially arrived in Trieste these past few days as many headed to Barcola for a walk, a tan and some even for a swim.
In normal times, Barcola is the mecca of all residents of Trieste. It is especially true when the weather delights us with beautiful spring afternoons.
It felt like spring was in Trieste this Wednesday as most locals ventured to Barcola, a stretch of pavement firmly anchored in the hearts of the local population, just 20 minutes away from the city center.
Trieste families were having fun in the sun. Despite the sea being just a little too chilly for a bathe, there were some swimmers in the water.
