You read that right. Trieste decided it was time to host another grand venture, this time inviting fellow carnival organizers from Venice, Monfalcone and Muggia. The result? A Saturday full of fun events for kids and adults alike.
Trieste is preparing to host “Re Carnival – Carnivals without borders”, a new event full of colors, sounds and masks, but above all joy and fun. On Saturday 22 April the show will start at 11am with jugglers, bands and acrobats.
From 2 pm along the Banks, allegorical floats and masks of the most important Carnivals in Italy will parade.
This will be followed by a big party that will culminate in Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia where, until around 7pm, DJs, music, animations and performances by street artists are on the program.
A rich program of initiatives, therefore, with the participation of artistic and entertainment companies that will support the more traditional masks such as Gianduja and Giacometta of Turin, the Doge’s Court of Venice, the Papà del Gnocco of Verona and the Pajazn of Sappada.
In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday 23rd April.
