The bishop-elect, Enrico Trevisi, was welcomed with a long round of applause as he entered the San Giusto cathedral on Sunday afternoon, 23 April, 2023.
Castello di San Giusto was the venue for this Sunday’s episcopal ordination of the city’s newest bishop, Enrico Trevisi.
“It is an honor to serve the city of Trieste. It’s a grace from God that I’m given the chance to serve the vicariate,” Trevisi said. “Please, be patient with me as I learn to be the bishop of Trieste.”
Hundreds of believers were gathered outside of the San Giusto cathedral to salute the newly appointed bishop as he existed the cathedral after an hour-long mass.
