Roberto Bolle, an Italian ballet dancer, who is enormously popular around the world for his exceptional dancing skill with graceful expressiveness, is back in Trieste for the “Roberto Bolle and Friends” performance at the Rossetti theater.

For his handsome features, perfect physique and great artistry, Bolle only performs to full house wherever he goes, and there’s no denying that at 48 he is still a class act.

Who was your most influential dancer throughout your career?

Definitely, Nuryev, whom I was lucky enough to encounter when I was 15.

What’s the role of the ballet in the modern world?

A very important one. Even though I fight all the time to let the younger generation have more opportunities.

This is not your first time in Trieste. What do you think of the city?

This is my 6th or 7th time, and it almost feels like coming home. I love the city and the public and I’m excited about our performance this 25-26 April.

Known as the top performer in the best theaters of the world, this Tuesday and Wednesday Bolle and friends will delight the Triestine public at the Rossetti theater. For tickets, go here.
