Mother’s Day, known in Italian as Festa della Mamma, is celebrated in Italy on Sunday 14 May 2023. Here’s In Trieste’s guide to Mother’s Day in Trieste.
Ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday 14 May, In Trieste offers ten suggestions of how to celebrate the occasion in and around Trieste.
1. What better way to celebrate than heading off on a family day out to the nearby city of Grado.
2. Take a stroll around the FVG capital’s rose garden.
3. Have a picnic in one of the city’s parks such as Parco Revoltella.
4. The “Fulmini” exhibition by David LaChapelle at the Salone degli Incanti is well worth a visit.
5. Check out the Mirò exhibit at Revoltella after a stroll around downtown Trieste.
6. Have an aperitivo at the elegant Berlam caffé in Double Tree Hilton.
7. Take in the beauty of Museo Sartorio after a coffee at the elegant Pier.
8. Enjoy a taste of Napoli at Assaje Pizzeria.
9. Treat your mother to dinner at Harry’s Bar.
10. Or how about a night at the opera?
Wonderful choices! And is it still customary to visit the cemetaries where our loved ones are buried? We brought our mamma back years ago to be buried in our beloved Trieste. We’re well over due and need a return visit, perhaps mid September.
