June in Trieste sees the Friuli Venezia Giulia capital’s many outdoor festivals kick off for the summer. We list here some of the best things to do and places to go in June in the city by the Adriatic, with a tip for each day of the month.

1 June. Indulge in the best Austrian dessert in town at the newly opened ‘Sacher’ cafe in via Dante.
2 June. Celebrate Festa della Repubblica by enjoying Conservatory Tartini’s free concert in Piazza Unità tonight at 9 pm.
