During the next three days until 21 July Trieste is hosting the second edition of the audiovisual producers summit, with the backdrop of the gorgeous Miramare Castle.
In a meeting between American, Italian and French producers, a dialogue will be sought on the role of the producer at a global level, as well as its challenges and the future of the creative industry. This is one of the leading events of the Italian audiovisual industry, with international significance.
During these days there will be the most influential top players in the sector, protagonists of diversified top level keynotes and panels focused on sector’s issues. The main topics to discuss are about the costs of the production and the intent of making content thought for global audiences.
The event is organized by Cinecitta for Cinema and Audiovisual sector, supported by the Ministry of Culture, in association with APA. The event is also promoted by the Promo Turismo FVG and FVG Film Commission. The Audio-Visual Producers Summit sees the participation of some cinematographic personalities from North America and France.
“United States is one of the few countries that has no local, state, or national funding for development or for production, that put us in an incredible disadvantage because we have to first fight to find financing, and at that point, what we are discovering now is I think we are becoming more like Europe without the state funding”, said the producer Gale Anne Hurd to affirm a new phenomenon: the independent artists and the new options that showed up with streaming distribution.
