Traditional Muggia Carnival has been celebrated since 1420 and this year will be held until 15 August in Piazzale Caliterna,from 6:30 pm until late evening. Food, music, dance, cabaret performances and more entertainment will ignite each day.
The sixth night on Sunday 13 August will include the traditional Vogadamata sea parade on the Lungomare Venezia which will start around 5 pm followed by live music, food, and dancing. From 9 pm put your dancing shoes and dance the night away with the ’80’s-90’s-2000’s party of the year, presented by Corrad, Andrea Sgonz and Sandro Giorgi.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 12, until 27 August, the Carnival Museum is open to visitors. The museum is located next to the headquarters of the Association of Carnival Companies in via Roma 20.
There’ll be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the carnival, including the announcement of the Godmother of the Muggia Carnival 2024. The three candidates are: Giulia Luin (Bora), Francesca Vogrig and Virginia Bernobic (Lampo).
