Trieste is among the Italian cities that read the most according to online book retailer Amazon.it.
The ranking of Italian cities that buy the most books is based on a per capita basis and takes into consideration the number of titles purchased by Amazon.it customers over the last year, reports La Stampa.
Milan confirms itself as the Italian city that reads the most books, with Rome once again in second place followed by Turin, Bologna, Genoa, Florence, Naples, Padua, Verona and Trieste.
The most popular book in Italy over the last year is Fabbricante di lacrime by Erin Doom, followed by The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, while the Triestini have their own favorite: Lugi Nacci’s Viandanza.
Based on Amazon sales, the study found that in Trieste there is demand for books on art, music and cinema.
