ITA Airways relaunches direct connection between Trieste’s Ronchi Legionari Airport and Milan’s Linate making it easier to get to Italy’s fashion capital and back in one day.

From 1 September this year the connection between Trieste Airport and Milan Linate will be reactivated with flights operated by the company ITA Airways: two a day outward (at 7.30 and 13) and return (departing from Linate at 11.15 and 20.05) and one during the weekend, departing from Trieste Airport on Saturday at 8.00 and from Milan Linate on Sunday at 20.05.

“The direct air link between Ronchi dei Legionari airport and the center of Milan – reachable from Linate in 12 minutes thanks to the new underground line – is a strategic service that connects our region to one of the pulsating and strategic hearts of the Italian economy, for the benefit of businesses and citizens of Friuli Venezia Giulia,” said governor Massimiliano Fedriga.

With regard to prices, all residents of Friuli Venezia Giulia will benefit from a maximum ceiling on the cost of tickets of 55 euro each way if they purchase them 10 days before the date of the flight; after this deadline, the fare cannot in any case exceed 125 euro each way, net of taxes. “A solution – underlined Fedriga – identified to meet the needs of those who travel for work or study reasons”.

A further reduction in the cost of the ticket will be available for residents: students under 27 and over 65 who travel for health reasons, who will be able to travel from the regional airport on ITA flights to and from Milan Linate always at the maximum cost of 49 euro each way, regardless of the date of purchase.
