The exhibition intends to recall, tell and understand the historical events whose eightieth anniversary will be celebrated next autumn, from the Armistice of 8 September to the departure of the first convoy of racial deportees from Trieste station to Auschwit.

The rich program of initiatives – which includes 7 events including exhibitions, book presentations and shows that will take place from 7 September to 7 December 2023 – illustrated by Stefano Bianchi, head of the Historical and Artistic Museums of the Municipality of Trieste and by Anna Krekic, curator of the Museum of the Risiera di San Sabba-National Monument.

The initiative, coordinated by Anna Krekic, curator of the Museo della Risiera di San Sabba-National Monument, was made possible by the contribution that the Ministry of Culture allocates annually to the Risiera and other Italian places of memory.

All initiatives are free and free admission subject to availability. Reservations are recommended for shows at: risierasansabba@comune.trieste.it.
