It was a magnificent September evening in Denver on Tuesday, 5 September when the founders of the InTrieste magazine gathered at the iconic downtown Denver bookstore, Tattered Cover, joined by Trieste locals to present the summer issue to public.
Many Denver locals came out to the presentation of the magazine, driven either by curiosity or connection to the city of Trieste.
Publisher Maria Kochetkova was joined by web and business manger, Francesco Stumpo along with Federica Bologna, a Trieste expat living in Denver, and Anna Pitacco, also a Triestina who’s been living in Denver for the past 9 years.
“Wow, so many people are out here tonight!” Francesco exclaimed as he took one look at a room packed full of spectators eagerly waiting for the presentation. “It’s wonderful!”
“Tattered cover bookstore is special for many reasons,” continued Maria. “We have presented our spring and winter editions here, and being back here with our summer edition is a true blessing.”
“Tattered Cover bookstore is not the only location in Denver which will be receiving our magazines in the fall. But that’s all we can reveal for now,” added Francesco.
“My family from around the world read your magazine daily,” said Anna, who’s planning to move back to Europe after 9 years in Denver. “We love it.”
“I definitely miss Trieste,” chimed in Federica. “The sea, driving on the Costiera road. But I don’t think I can ever move back.”
The summer edition is available at the Tattered Cover bookstore on Colfax until supplies last.
