The Slovenian festival called “Slofest” will be held from Friday 15 September to 17 September in Piazza S Antonio Nuovo with over 60 events on offer.
“From the love for one’s own city and for the entire territory inhabited by Slovenians in Italy, Slofest was born ten years ago, the festival of Slovenians in Italy” promoted by the Union of Slovenian Cultural Circles – Zveza slovenskih kulturnih društev ETS in co-organization with the Municipality of Trieste which was presented on Tuesday 5 September at the Museum of Oriental Art during a press conference introduced by the Councilor for Culture and Tourism Policies, Giorgio Rossi in the presence of the President of the Unione dei Circoli Cultural Slovenians – Zveza slovenskih kulturnih društev ETS, Živka Persi.
Also present were Alex Devetak, responsible for organizing major events for the Slovenian National and Study Library – Narodna in študijska knjižnica and Danijel Malalan, Director of the Slovenian Permanent Theater – Slovesko Stalno Gledališče – who presented the relevant sections of the festival.
The 2023 edition will be held from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 September at the tensile structure in Piazza S. Antonio Nuovo which will host all the events except where indicated in the program.
