It was a neck and neck game on Monday night as the “Expats United” soccer team took center stage against ‘9 Sorelle F.C.’ at the Domio stadium, with the expats team winning the first match of the tournament.

“It was a tough game,” Martin Kennedy, the captain of the team, told us. “But we are very satisfied.”

“Great fun and great athelism,” added Antonio Macedo. “The other team was very well prepared and played a strategic game. We had to play at a high level to win the game, and that’s what we did.”

“A hard but rewarding game,” added Raffaele Luongo.

The team, which comprises of players from all over the world – Italy, Portugal, Turkey, and Argentina – won 1-0 in a tough match on a hot late-summer night.

“We are ready for the next match, which will take place next Thursday 21/09 at 21:00 At Borgo” Mauro Farina told us.
