The “European Mobility Week” will take place in Trieste, from 16 to 27 September. Having reached its 22nd edition this year, it has become a fixed and unmissable event for all administrations that want to engage in issues of sustainability and improving the quality of life in cities.
Every year thousands of cities and millions of European citizens celebrate sustainable mobility and send a message of change and renewal of our lifestyles. The theme of the 2023 edition is “Let’s Save Energy – Save Energy” to make us reflect on energy consumption and in particular, on consumption resulting from urban mobility which has increasingly greater costs for the community not only in environmental terms. The choice of sustainable mobility can in fact contribute considerably to energy saving as well as improving the livability of cities.
Like every year, the “European Mobility Week” constitutes an opportunity and a showcase for citizens and local administrations to take action in a process, necessary and indispensable and now underway, of improving urban mobility in the direction of environmental sustainability combined with growth local economy and the quality of life of cities. All scheduled events aim to encourage citizens to adopt sustainable mobility solutions, organized by the Mobility and Traffic Service of the Territory, Economy, Environment and Mobility Department of the Municipality, in collaboration with other Departments and municipal services and institutional partners (ASUGI, Trieste Transport, FVG Region, Automobile Club Trieste and others).

In a world increasingly in economic difficulty, the life of Paul Safranek (Matt Damon) and Audrey Safranek (Kristen Wiig) looks increasingly grey, until they meet some old friends at a dinner; friends who have been shrunk to half the size they previously were. They talk about their new “mini” life, much more affluent and serene, in a tailor-made town, inhabited by all those who have decided to undergo the same operation; they do not know any crime or crisis and furthermore their impact on the ecosystem is considerably reduced, given that the waste they produce is very little compared to that of a normal-sized human.
Free admission to the public while seats last
