The University of Trieste, which celebrates its 100 years in 2024, ranks 315th among the European universities, according to QS 2024 rankings.
Among the indicators taken into consideration, those relating to the research sector particularly stand out, further improving the general European positioning.

The “research papers per faculty” placed the university in an excellent 68th place, “International Research Network” in 227th and “Citations per Paper” in 264th.
The QS European ranking confirms the positive trend highlighted in July by the world ranking where the University of Trieste appears in the twenty-third place overall among Italian universities (out of the 42 rankings) and in the 2nd among medium-sized ones. Only half of Italian universities manage to place themselves in this ranking.
This is the best result for the University Of Trieste since 2019.
