Every Saturday we’re spotlighting remarkable local females who could change the way we look at the world. This Saturday is Anna Vedeeva’s turn, a female fashion designer from Moscow. After research and studies in fashion in Florence, she moved to Trieste and opened her online shop, Anna Vedeneeva Couture.
Who was your summer collection dedicated to?
This summer collection was dedicated to all women who value timeless elegance and sustainable fashion. At Anna Vedeneeva Couture we believe that fashion should not only look good but also make us feel good. The pieces in this collection are designed to empower women and make them feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. We believe that fashion is not just about following trends, but it’s a way to express our individuality and make a positive impact on the world.
What made you become a designer?
My passion for fashion and design began at a very young age. I was always fascinated by how clothing could express one’s personality and individuality. However, as I grew older, I became increasingly aware of the environmental and social impact of the fashion industry. This led me to pursue a degree in sustainable fashion design and production. I believe that fashion has the power to make a positive impact on the world, and I want to be part of that change. Becoming a designer has allowed me to express my creativity while also promoting ethical and sustainable practices in the fashion industry.
Is Trieste the right place for a fashionista like yourself?
Trieste is a beautiful and vibrant city that is known for its rich cultural heritage and entrepreneurial spirit. It’s a great place to be a designer because there are many opportunities to network and collaborate with other creatives. The city also has a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, which aligns perfectly with our brand values at Anna Vedeneeva Couture. We are proud to be based in Trieste and to contribute to the city’s growing reputation as a hub for sustainable fashion.
