The 55th edition of Barcolana regatta, which takes off this Friday, 29 September, was officially presented this Monday morning at the Generali headquarters in palazzo Berlam.

“I’m so excited to be here. It’s my 10th Barcolana but somehow this edition feels more special,” said Mitja Gialuz, the patron of regatta Barcolana.
“This is going to be a great event,” chimed in president Fedriga. “Barcolana is a big party for people, when everyone wants to stay together. It’s a grand international event. We are aware that events like these give enormous value to Friuli Venezia Giulia.”
“This is my 22nd presentation of Barcolana. It’s a beautiful moment for the city, let’s make the most of it,” added mayor Dipiazza.
“Generali is a long-standing partner of Barcolana,” Emma Ursich, the Head of Corporate Identity at Generali, told us. “This year we have ‘Women in Sailing” trophy which will be awarded to the first women to cross the finish line. This is an important award for us as we also have a leadership journey with the academy for the women who win the award.”
