Barcolana 55 kicked off its on the sea events this Saturday morning, 30 September, in the beautiful town of Grado with the SUP experience.
The SUP Grado Experience, the race open to professional as well as amateur athletes, saw 61 participants slide on the golf of Grado in perfect weather conditions.
“This was my third time on the SUP,” said Barcolana’s patron, Mitja Gialuz. “A wonderful day and an amazing experience.”
“I am here as the testimonial,” added Caterina Stenta, world SUP champion. “We are excited about this first edition and we’ll definitely repeat it next year.”
“This is the first event that takes us outside of Trieste,” added Dean Bassi, the sports manager of Barcolana. “We saw many participants and it was definitely a successful start”.
